Why?  I have a garden here in Lewes.  If I want to spend some time
outdoors I go for a walk or a ride on the downs, or take a short walk
to the beautifully kept grange gardens.  It's free, better than any
garden I could keep, and I don't have to lift a finger myself.  I'd
choose a house or flat near good public spaces over one with a big
garden any day.
