[BNM] (ot) BBC redesign competition

This will probably sound rather bitter and twisted to those
well-adjusted, impartial and enlightened folk at the BBC, but this just
looks like a transparently stupid PR stunt to me.
Is there any chance of them doing anything genuinely democratic? Like
opening up their entire programme briefing and scheduling operations
and their budgeting allocation procedures for a bit of public
participation, instead of staging boring competitions.
The BBC never tire of telling everyone how professional they are. So
why don't they stop drowning us in a deluge of garbage whilst
pretending they're inclusive and democratic? And why don't they do it
today, because they're running out of time?

This might be of interest for some of the more design-oriented folks:

They're asking you to design bbc.co.uk 2.0, which is funny because I'm
sure they've had at least three or four designs over the years... :D
