When did 'lose' become 'loose' ?

Everywhere I turn I notice things like 'if you loose your password...'

I saw it today on the WebFusion VPS Getting Started page[1]

If it hasn't officially been declared (which I cannot see in any dictionary) then it surely must be in danger of becoming acceptable by default.

Maybe someone should start a 'looser watch' site with high profile and corporate culprits being named and shamed because I, for one, despair.
