Hello,

I'm a new macbook pro owner (wahoo!) so looking for something like this too 
(I've not dual-booted XP on the mac yet).

My mate is a news cameraman for the BBC and has just been given a digital 
(PC) video editing suite. The kit includes Avid which is available for Mac 
too. I think there's a free version at:

but I'm having trouble working out which one it is. I downloaded a free pc 
version of Avid a while back so the offer may not be available. Actually

Someone also mentioned final cut pro/express to me recently and I was 
looking at this too but I'm after a free/cheap option.

Not sure if that helps and I can't really recommend either as I've not 
tried them properly yet.
