...well relatively....

I get thousands of visitors to my site (delarge.co.uk) looking for 'Hello my
name is' stickers.
I'm no.1 in google for the most obvious search term:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hello+my+name+is+stickers

( I might also add that my Street Stickers site is no.1 in google for just
the term 'stickers' which is a bit mad )

After tracing referrers to my stickers page I found that kids often post in
forums asking where they can get these stickers - and it seems my page has
become the defacto place. They want them for parties, school trips, tag
practice - loadsa things.

But... personally I think those stickers are now a little cliche/tired out
and I much prefer the variants you see like 'Hey Bro, my name is' or 'I
don't care what your name is' etc. etc.

Which made me think how good it would be to be able to make your own
template online - so the sticker would say what you wanted and you could
choose the top and bottom colours - then print it out.

I looked into some PHP methods to produce custom images on the fly and all
that - but when it comes to printing, the people want VECTOR... and I
thought this kind of idea lends itself to flash quite nicely. So the user
would be presented with a blank template - they click (or drag) their chosen
colour from a palette of say 4 or 5 colours - fill in what they want the top
and bottom to say - click GO and they get a SWF (or maybe a pdf - I dunno)
which tiles their sticker (or as many as they choose ) and they can print it
with a big grin on their face and fond memory of where they found it.

So - my point is, if anyone with a little bit of dynamic flash skill is out
there looking for a project which will pay nothing financially - but earn
immense street cred, maybe they'd like to team up. I imagine that this
scenario I'm talking about is actually quite simple for a knowledgable flash
dude or dudette...

If this happened of course we'd slap a massive logo/badge underneath saying
something like 'Sticker system developed by Mr. X' for big linkage....

I would draw some diagrams but it's a really simple idea - I don't think we
need them.

I also think that this might prove immensly popular...

If anyone's interested please lemme know.
