I forgot the council have no money to build basic public facilities on
public land.
What fantastic options, big tower blocks and a small sports complex or
nothing at all, a 500 ft elevator to nowhere or nothing at all, a football
stadium at Falmer or nothing at all.
I like the idea of the elevator, it's cool and would make money, its low
impact.

Is it not possible these days to build public facility using public money on
public land that can over time pay for its construction, running and
continued improvement?
